New Mexico To Get Additional Settlement Money
New Mexico will receive an additional $85 million from the
national tobacco settlement, bringing the state's total to
$1.24 billion.
The money is for the state's victories in
pretrial motions.
In April, New Mexico established a permanent
fund for the tobacco settlement money the state will receive
over the next 25 years.
