Smoking may be a cause of breast cancer, argued Swiss medical
expert Alfredo Morabia at a two-day meeting of international
breast cancer specialists on Monday.
Morabia told the group
that no direct link between the appearance of breast cancer and
cigarettes has yet been established, "but it is a serious
possibility and we must pursue our research in this area."
